Welcome to Ladaki Bahin Yojana, the new scheme for every woman in Maharashtra under the age of 21 to 65 who will get Rs. 1500 per month. The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladaki Bahin Yojana (मुख्यमंत्री—माझी लाडकी बहीण योजना) was launched by the Maharashtra government on June 28, 2024.

This Ladaki Bahin Yojana scheme aims to increase women's economic independence, improve their health and nutrition, and reinforce their important position in the family. This initiative is specifically designed to provide financial help to women throughout the state, empowering them in various facets of life.

Under this scheme, every woman in Maharashtra will get Rs. 1500 per month directly to their bank account. The government of Maharashtra allotted ₹46,000 crore to provide benefits under this scheme. Women apply with minimum documents and an easy process online and offline.

Objectives of Ladki Bahin Yojana:

The Ladaki Bahin Yojana focuses on the main objectives; let's see them:

Who can apply for Ladki Bahin Yojana?

Under this Ladaki Bahin Yojana scheme, everyone has to know the eligibility criteria to apply.

Women Residents of Maharashtra: Applicants must be permanent residents of Maharashtra.
Age Limit: Eligible women must be between the ages of 21 and 65.
Marital Status: Women who are married, widowed, divorced, abandoned, or destitute may participate in the plan. Only one unmarried lady per family is eligible.
Income Limit: Annual family income cannot exceed ₹2.50 lakhs.
Bank Account: All applicants must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Who can not apply?

The government added some disqualification criteria before applying to know about it:

Family Income: Families with a yearly income above ₹2.50 lakhs are prohibited.
Income Tax Payers: Women from families with at least one income taxpayer are not eligible.
Government employee: Permanent or regular personnel from government agencies or state/central government bodies are ineligible.
Four-wheeler owners: Families that own four-wheelers (except tractors) are not eligible.
Political figures and officials: Families with current or past MPs, MLAs, or high government posts are not eligible.

Benefits of the Ladki Bahin Scheme:

Eligible women will get ₹1,500 each month via Direct Benefit Transfer. This financial aid is designed to help women achieve economic independence and improve their quality of life. It can give some economic relief to the women of Maharashtra.

Ladki Bahin Application Process:

Online Application: Women can apply through the official Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladaki Bahin website: https://ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in/. Anyone can apply online using any device, like a desktop, laptop, or mobile phone. Please know about the required documents before applying (see below).
Offline Application: Women who are unable to apply online may submit their application in person at their nearest Anganwadi Sevika, Setu Suvidha Kendra, or Your Sarkar Seva Kendra. You just collect your documents and visit the nearest office, and the officer will apply your form. (See the list of offline application centers below.)
No application fees: The application process is completely free of charge.

Required Documents for Ladki Bahin Scheme:

The applicant of the Ladaki Bahin Yojana must have these documents to apply for this scheme.

Aadhaar Card: An applicant's Aadhaar card is required for identification.
Residence Certificate: Applicants must provide proof of residence, such as a voter ID, birth certificate, or ration card.
Income Certificate: Families with white or no ration cards must present proof of annual income.
Marriage Certificate: If their names do not appear on the family ration card, newlywed applicants must present their marriage certificate.
Bank Account Details: Applicants must give bank account information that is linked to Aadhaar.
Photograph: In addition to the declaration form, the applicant must include a photograph.
